Govt keeps discretionary powers to shuffle any public office holder: Dr Firdous


ISLAMABAD, Dec 27 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said that the incumbent government had discretionary powers to shuffle any public office holder.

Talking to a private news channel programe, she said, it was prerogative of the government to make appointment and deployment or remove any officer. Every government wanted to maintain its image before the public, she stated.

The image disturbs when there was a match fixing and corruption, she added. In reply to a question, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the last government of Pakistan Muslim League-N had never consulted with the Opposition while transferring or postings of any public office holder.
